Rhythmstick Records met Fix through an online advert. We were looking for backing vocalists to join our on-call production crew. She bowled in one Saturday morning and blew our socks off. We worked her hard and no matter what we threw at her she rose to the challenge revealing a versatile voice of many parts.
As payment for her services we offered to produce a song for her. “Did she have something she wanted to sing?” She did. She had only recently written her first song and asked if we could do something with it. It was called Starry Eyed and we loved it.
Fix is Ngaati Puukeko and Ngaati Porou, mother of two and an accomplished person of many and varied parts. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Film, she is an experienced production assistant (Film and TV), a Goldsmith and a force of nature with talent to burn.
